Health Benefits of Grounding
Grounding is a simple technique that anyone can do and at anytime. It really is as easy as it sounds. You can simply take your shoes and socks off and connect with nature. Barefoot on sand, water, mud, stones, grass, most outdoors natural conditions. Damp/wet conditions will connect you even further.
If you don’t have nature to hand and find yourself stuck in an office environment, then you can take your shoes and socks off and rest your feet on a grounding mat under your desk, or sleep on grounding sheets at night. Grounding mats and bed sheets can be easily purchased on line. However grounding outside is preferable, for the fresh air and hopefully some scenic surroundings.
As we go through our everyday life we build up lots of positive electrons (Free Radicals) that scavenge our bodies creating stress, inflammation and disease. Positive electrons can build up from poor diet, chemical environments, stress and anxiety, sedentary lifestyle, carcinogens and many more. Once barefoot we make connection to the grounds negative electrons, which help neutralise the stressed electrons (free radicals) circulating our body, bringing calm and balance.
This infusion of electrons may help reduce inflammation, lower pain, regulate immune response, aid fatigue, help blood circulation and encourage sleep. Just 20 minutes of grounding per day may have such health benefits. More research is needed.
Recent studies suggest that after periods of grounding, red blood cell clumping significantly reduces, showing potential benefits for Cardiovascular Health.
Grounding is not a natural treatment by which you will notice immediate results, but be sure it is working silently in the background to help bring balance, peace and health. Have you ever wondered why you rarely see sick wild animals (wild animals are constantly grounded) or why you feel so energetic, fresh and alive after a shower (the water in your shower grounds you out via your plumbing pipes) the answer could be GROUNDING.
